Solar energy and Helios resources

Abstract One of the main end conditioning factors that maintains ecological condition and raises the energetic potential in many countries around the world is the usage of renewable energy source. These tendencies are clearly depicted in the energy development programs of leading countries in the world, where it is supposed that by 2020 the share of renewable energy sources will be increased till 20% with full energy balance. The sun is the inexhaustible source of the energy on earth. Today, the rapid development of techniques end technologies gives opportunity for effective usage of solar energy then it was possible in previous years. Solar energy facilities can transform solar energy into electricity and can use them as for domestic, also for various energetic purposes. It is true, that usage of solar energy was under attention for a very long time, but slowly it becomes more active topic as rapid increase of industry and agriculture requires intensive development of energy. Necessity in usage of solar energy comes from the fact that it is inexhaustible energy, when coal, petroleum and gas is not so much. By summarizing, the renewable energy is surely connected to solar radiation and exactly the issues for technical usage of solar radiation is studied by the new branch of sciences – Heio-technology (solar technology). The efficiency of Helio-facilities are conditioned by duration of sunshine. Considering geographical condition of Georgia, effective and long radiation of sun is very high here and thus our country has significant potential of usage of solar energy.
