Scientists generally agree that intensification of the global worming will cause increase in number of the weather and climate extreme events. These extreme events can seriously harm the society, agriculture, economy, health and even the safety of the country. That is why studying extreme events is crucial for the stability of the region. To gain a uniform perspective on observed changes in climate extremes under the global warming conditions the World Meteorological Organization and Expert Team on Climate Change Detection, Monitoring and Indices of the intergovernmental commission on climate change has defined a core set of climate change indices. The indices describe particular characteristics of extremes, including frequency, amplitude and persistence. The core set includes 27 extremes indices for temperature and precipitation. In this study according to observations materials of 81 meteorological stations over the period from 1960 to 1990 in Georgia, four climatic change indices have been examined. For data homogeneization and indices calculation a powerful and freely available statistical package R was used. Geoinformational maps of spatial structure have been drawn up by using soft ArcGis 10.1. and for interpolation of indices, different algorithms: spline and spline with barriers have been used. The possibilities of these two different algorithms for the mountainous territory have been compared and analyzed.
